Artist Statement
Falling in love with the world is hard to do unless you can see the little things that make it beautiful. As an artist who uses nature and my emotional connection to it, to create, I believe it is everyones right to hear music swell and beautiful lyrics play when seeing the world.
Artist Bio
Hello! My name is Ivy Lynn, I am a young, artist, born in Colorado and recently moved to New York City. I created a brand for myself; "Ivy's Original Art", in 2020 while attending Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design for Art Education. Due to the difficulty of COVID-19, and virtual learning, I discontinued my learning and began my journey to follow my dreams of moving to New York City. Now that I am here, I hope to become involved in the artistic scene New York City is known for and discover the sea of opportunities for myself as an artist.
My main mediums of art include painting with acrylic or watercolor, ceramics, and photography, but I love to branch out and play with a little bit of everything. I have been experimenting with some abstract and multimedia pieces, to allow myself to have fun with the paint, and not worry about the small stressful details of a piece, which has allowed me to get over some artist block and create some new art.
